How do I transfer from a junior college to a CSU or UC school in California?

The main source of your needs will be on the website www.assist.org If you are planning to go to a junior college for two years planning is required.  This website is awesome, it gives you the course list of all the courses you need to transfer from any junior college in California to an specific CSU or UC school for a specific major.  Sometimes your plans change, sometimes you can get into a 4 year University by meeting the requirements of a different intended major first just to get into the door.  Each UC and CSU school has a consortium agreement with each junior college for each major to transfer into their school.  Follow it as well as the IGETC.  Do not waste time taking too many classes.  If you plan properly you should be able to meet requirements within 2 years, but if not it takes an average of about a minimum of 3 years for junior college students to transfer to a University.
