Are you smarter than an 11th grader? Math Smarter Balance Assessment
The Smarter Balanced Assessment is under legislation to become the most widely used test system to compare the students across the nation of the United States of America. 46 of the 50 states have agreed to adopt this new assessment and adapt to the grade level common core standards. So far just ELA and Math have been part of the core subjects being tested with pilot tests available within the month of May 2013. There seems to be many new books written about common core assessment by book publishers. This test can be take for FREE, by ANYONE, without providing any personal information. I have only seen the 8th and 11th grade math tests but I plan to look at the ELA as tests well.

These are sample screen shots of the assessment questions. The design and functionality of the test was easy to use. The answer choices are usually moveable numbers, points on a graph, part of a number line, calculator use, and free response questions as well that included the phrase “word explain your answer.”
